Correction Policies

While DeshKiKhabare.in strives for excellence and accuracy, errors may occasionally occur. In such cases, we take full responsibility for corrections and ensure transparency to prevent misinformation from spreading.

How Corrections Are Addressed

Readers: If a reader identifies an error, they should immediately contact the editor-in-chief, Emilee Wentland, via email, phone, mail, or in person.

Email: deshkikhabaree@gmail.com
Subject: Correction Needed

A correction request is officially acknowledged only when submitted directly to the editor-in-chief. Requests made to other staff members may not be processed in a timely manner.

Correction requests should include details such as the correction needed, the date or issue number, where the error was found (print, online, etc.), the reader’s contact details, and any supporting sources for verification.

Readers can expect a response from the editor-in-chief and may be contacted for further clarification. Please note that submitting a correction request guarantees an investigation but does not assure a correction will be issued.

DeshKiKhabare.com’s Process: Upon receiving a correction request, the editor-in-chief will investigate using available resources such as reader-submitted information, official records, and journalist notes.

If an error is confirmed, the correction will be implemented across all relevant platforms:

  • Print: Corrections will be published on page 2A in the next issue, specifying the article, issue, and correction details.
  • Website: The online article will be updated, with an editor’s note at the bottom stating what was corrected and when.
  • Social Media: If the incorrect information was shared on Facebook, Twitter, or other platforms, a follow-up post will be made linking to the corrected article and mentioning the correction.

Once the correction is completed, the editor-in-chief will inform the reader who submitted the request about the corrective measures taken.
